C1 is hiring a Cook II in Detroit, MI for a contract assignment with one of our clients. This is an ongoing, contract-to-hire opportunity paying $25.08 per hour, with overtime paid at $35.11 per hour.
Schedule and assignment details:- Day shift, 7:00am to 3:00pm- 40 hours per week- Assignment runs August 24, 2026 through September 7, 2026, with potential to continue
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods- Cook for special events and catered functions- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines accurately and efficiently- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work station
What we are looking for:- Prior experience cooking in a high-volume kitchen setting- Comfort working with both hot and cold food production- Attention to detail with portioning, plating, and food quality- Ability to stand for extended periods and work at a steady pace in a busy kitchen- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork
