C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook I in Lancaster, PA 17601 for one of our client partners. This is an ongoing, contract-to-hire kitchen role paying $19.00 per hour, with the potential to convert to a permanent position for the right cook.
This is hands-on line and prep work in a busy commercial kitchen. You will be responsible for turning out consistent, quality food while keeping your station clean and your team supported through service. If you take pride in hitting recipe and quality standards every shift, this is a strong fit.
What you will do:- Prepare, cook, and portion menu items to recipe and quality standards- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines throughout the shift- Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized- Assist with receiving, dating, and rotating food inventory so product stays fresh and in date- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and communicate clearly with coworkers- Maintain a clean, kitchen-appropriate appearance and work safely in a warm kitchen environment
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $19.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Ongoing, contract-to-hire assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent role for the right cook
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking or commercial kitchen experience preferred- Comfortable standing for extended shifts, lifting, and working in a warm kitchen environment- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and temperature control practices- Dependable attendance and a team-first attitude- Willingness to complete any screenings required before placement- Arrive in clean, kitchen-appropriate attire with closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes
