Floor Technician - Eden, NC
C1 Staffing is hiring a Floor Technician in Eden, NC to clean, strip, wax, buff and maintain hard surface floors for one of our clients. This is a second shift, contract-to-hire opportunity paying $16.93 per hour with overtime paid at $23.70 per hour.
What you will do:- Clean, strip, wax, buff and maintain hard surface floors throughout the facility- Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpeted areas- Maintain floors and surfaces in commercial, healthcare, school, university or similar facility settings- Operate floor machines, buffers and related equipment safely and according to instruction- Care for and maintain floor care equipment, keeping machines clean and ready for the next shift- Work in any assigned area on the client's premises as cleaning needs and priorities change- Keep supplies, carts and work areas organized and in good condition- Follow all site safety procedures while working around staff, students or visitors
Schedule and pay:- $16.93 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $23.70 per hour- Second shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM- 40 hours per week- Contract-to-hire, with the potential to continue based on performance and business need
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior floor care or commercial cleaning experience preferred- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the shift- Comfort operating floor machines, buffers, vacuums and carpet shampooers, or willingness to learn- Reliable attendance for a full-time second shift schedule- Willingness to complete pre-assignment screening requirements- A white top and black pants, required starting day one
This is a strong fit if you take pride in finished work and like seeing the results at the end of a shift. Floor care is hands-on, steady work, and the second shift schedule means you are working after the building has cleared out, with room to move through your assigned areas at a consistent pace. If you have stripped and waxed floors before, that experience will serve you well here, but we also welcome candidates with general commercial cleaning backgrounds who are ready to learn the equipment.
