C1 is hiring a Cook I in Gardner, KS, for one of our client partners. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity running from August 11, 2026, through October 31, 2026, with the potential to continue based on performance.
Pay is $16.48 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.07 per hour. The shift runs 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for 40 hours per week.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered event service- Follow recipes and portion standards for accurate, consistent plating- Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe work area
What we are looking for:- Prior cooking or kitchen production experience preferred- Ability to work a consistent afternoon and evening schedule- Comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen- Completion of a required orientation before the assignment begins
Uniform details: polo shirts are provided on site. You will need to supply black pants and non-slip shoes.
