C1 is hiring a Cook I for a short-term, contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in San Jose, CA. If you know your way around Latin cuisine and can move confidently through a busy morning service, this one is worth a look.
Pay is $25.75 per hour, with overtime paid at $36.05 per hour. The schedule runs 6:00am to 2:30pm, averaging about 24 hours per week, with the assignment window set for November 3 through November 5, 2026. Strong performers may be considered for a permanent position.
What you will do:- Prepare and cook Latin dishes to recipe and quality standards- Handle prep work including chopping, seasoning, portioning, and stocking- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work stations throughout the shift- Follow all food safety and handling guidelines
What we are looking for:- Prior cooking experience, ideally with Latin food- Comfort standing for full shifts, lifting, and working in a fast-paced kitchen- Reliable attendance and an early-morning start- Team-first attitude and clear communication
