Elevator Attendant — Oakland, CA 94621
C1 Staffing is hiring an Elevator Attendant to operate and monitor an elevator and assist guests at a busy event location in Oakland, CA 94621. This is shift-based work that pays $24.00 per hour, with the potential for ongoing assignments.
What you will do:- Operate and monitor the elevator throughout your shift, keeping movement steady and controlled.- Greet guests warmly as they enter and exit, and help them get where they are going.- Answer guest questions and provide directions or assistance in a professional, courteous way.- Keep the elevator car and the surrounding area clean, tidy, and organized.- Follow all posted safety procedures and load guidelines.- Watch for and report any mechanical issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions right away.- Assist guests with special requests, including those who need extra time or support entering and exiting.- Stay calm, attentive, and visible during high-traffic periods when many guests are moving at once.
Schedule and pay:- Pay rate is $24.00 per hour.- Paid weekly.- Gig and shift-based work that may become ongoing depending on need and performance.- Shifts include evenings and weekends, so availability during those times is required.
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older.- A friendly, professional attitude and a welcoming presence with guests.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy, high-volume environment.- Good attention to detail, especially where safety is concerned.- Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.- Comfort standing and remaining on post for the length of the shift in a confined elevator space.- Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
