C1 Staffing is hiring friendly, dependable Ushers to help guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience at a large event venue in Oakland (94621). This is shift-based event work paying $22.00 per hour, with the possibility of ongoing assignments for people who show up and do well.
What you will do:- Greet guests as they arrive and set a welcoming tone for the event.- Scan the crowd and direct guests to their correct seats and sections.- Answer questions about the event, seating, and venue services, and provide clear event information.- Help keep the venue safe, clean, and organized throughout your shift.- Monitor guest areas, watch for issues, and follow all venue policies and procedures.- Assist with guest flow and venue needs before, during, and after events, including arrival, intermission, and exit.- Work alongside other event staff in a fast-paced environment where crowds move quickly.
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $22.00 per hour, paid weekly.- Gig and shift-based work tied to the event calendar, and assignments may be ongoing.- Shifts fall on evenings, weekends, and holidays, so open availability on those days is important.
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older.- A friendly, professional attitude with guests and coworkers.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large crowds.- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.- Comfortable standing, walking, and moving around the venue for the length of a shift, including stairs and ramps between seating levels.- Previous usher, event, or customer service experience is a plus, but it is not required. We will show you what you need to know.- Uniform required for every shift: black pants, non-slip shoes, and a black collared top. The top may be short sleeve or long sleeve, button-down or polo, as long as it is black and has a collar.
