Cook - Senior
C1 Staffing is hiring an experienced cook for a short-term, two-day contract assignment in Plano, TX. The role pays $25.19 per hour with overtime at $35.27 per hour, and shifts run 6:00 am to 3:00 pm for roughly 16 hours total.
This assignment covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner service along with special and catered events, so it suits a cook who is comfortable moving quickly and producing consistent, well-presented plates in a busy kitchen.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods throughout the shift- Assist with special events and catered functions as needed- Batch cook and hold items to standard while maintaining accurate portion control- Plate and present food so it is ready for service on time- Work accurately and efficiently to meet established service timelines- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas before, during, and after service
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $25.19 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime is paid at $35.27 per hour- Shifts run 6:00 am to 3:00 pm- Two-day assignment, approximately 16 hours total- Gig and shift-based work, with the possibility of additional assignments
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen or food service setting- Comfort with batch cooking, portion control, and plate presentation- Ability to prepare and cook hot and cold items for multiple meal periods- Ability to stand, lift, and move throughout a full shift- Dependability and on-time arrival for both scheduled days- Uniform required: black slacks and a black shirt
