C1 Staffing is hiring a CDL-B Delivery Driver in Richmond, VA (23234) to run local delivery routes, recover used batteries, and complete customer installations. This is a full-time, ongoing position paying $23.00 per hour, paid weekly.
What you will do:
- Safely operate a Class B or Class C vehicle to deliver products to customer locations on an assigned route.- Pick up used batteries from customer sites and handle them according to proper handling procedures.- Manage and maintain consignment stock, keeping counts and inventory accurate at each stop.- Plan efficient routes and load and unload the vehicle safely using material handling tools.- Perform battery installations for customers and confirm the work meets quality and safety expectations.- Maintain accurate documentation of all deliveries, pickups, and transactions, including entries in ERP applications.- Assist with training new drivers and contribute ideas that improve delivery and handling processes.- Represent the assignment professionally in every customer interaction at the dock, counter, or job site.
Schedule and pay:
- Pay rate: $23.00 per hour, paid weekly.- Shift type: Full Time.- Career, ongoing position.
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older.- Valid CDL Class B license.- High school diploma or equivalent; a 3.0 GPA is preferred.- Minimum of 1 year of delivery experience.- MVR with minimal safety issues over the last 3 years.- Working knowledge of DOT and Hours of Service rules, safe driving practices, and safe handling procedures.- Ability to operate material handling tools and use ERP applications for recordkeeping.- Comfortable managing customer interactions and resolving routine delivery questions on site.- Physical requirements: walking, standing, sitting, driving for extended periods, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.- This position is subject to E-Verify employment eligibility verification.
