C1 Staffing is hiring Janitors and Cleaners for event and facility cleaning work in Austin, TX (78746). This is shift-based gig work that may continue on an ongoing basis, and it pays $16.00 per hour, paid weekly.
This role keeps the venue and surrounding grounds clean, safe, and presentable before, during, and after guests arrive. It is active, hands-on work with a crew, and it is a good fit for people who like staying busy and can see a task through from start to finish.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and loose litter throughout the grounds, walkways, seating areas, and other assigned zones- Collect and sort recycling, keeping recyclable material separated from general waste- Empty garbage cans and replace liners, then transport full bags to the designated collection points- Sweep floors, entryways, walkways, and other hard surfaces to keep high-traffic areas clear of debris- Clean and service restrooms, including wiping surfaces and keeping the space orderly during the shift- Monitor assigned areas throughout your shift and respond to spills, overflowing containers, and other cleanup needs as they come up- Return supplies, tools, and equipment to the correct storage areas at the end of the shift- Follow crew lead instructions on where to work, when to rotate, and how waste should be handled
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.00 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Gig and shift-based work in Austin, TX 78746, with the possibility of ongoing shifts- Shifts are assigned as they become available, so you can pick up work that fits your availability
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand and walk for the length of the shift, including outdoors and across large areas- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds, including bagged trash and recycling, to collection points- Willingness to work around crowds and to keep a steady pace during busy periods- Comfort working as part of a cleaning crew and following direction from a supervisor or crew lead- Attention to detail so assigned areas stay clean and stocked throughout the shift
No prior janitorial experience is required. If you have cleaned venues, stadiums, festivals, offices, or commercial buildings before, that background will help you move quickly in this role, but we will show you what needs to be done and where.
