Package Handler - Kentwood, MI
C1 Staffing is hiring Package Handlers for shift-based work at a package sorting and delivery facility in Kentwood, Michigan. The pay is $18.00 per hour, paid weekly, and this is the kind of assignment that can keep going for handlers who show up and work steadily.
This is hands-on warehouse work inside a moving parcel operation. You will be part of the crew that gets trailers emptied, packages sorted to the right destination, and delivery trucks loaded so routes can leave on time.
What you will do:- Unload packages from incoming trailers and move them into the sort area- Sort packages by zip code so each parcel is routed to the correct delivery area- Load sorted packages onto delivery trucks in an organized, secure way- Lift, carry, and stack parcels weighing up to 50 pounds- Keep the unload, sort, and load areas clear so packages keep moving without backups- Handle packages carefully to prevent damage to parcels and their contents- Work alongside other handlers and follow direction from facility leads on sort assignments and load priorities- Follow facility safety practices, including proper lifting technique and safe footwear at all times
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $18.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig and shift-based work, with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis- Worksite is in Kentwood, MI
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout your shift- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move packages for the length of the shift- Closed-toed shoes are required to work on the floor- Willingness to work at a steady pace in a team environment- Attention to detail when reading labels and sorting by zip code
