C1 Staffing is hiring a Barista I in Moraga, California, to craft hand-made coffee, tea and specialty drinks for a steady stream of guests. This is an ongoing, career-track position paying $21.55 per hour on an evening shift, with overtime paid at $30.17 per hour.
This role is built for someone who takes pride in both the drink and the interaction. You will be the face of the beverage counter during the evening rush, moving quickly without losing the warmth that keeps customers coming back.
What you will do:- Craft quality coffee, tea and specialty beverages by hand, made to each customer's specifications- Take orders accurately and deliver drinks quickly and consistently, even during busy rushes- Operate cash registers and credit card machines, handling transactions carefully- Field customer questions and complaints while working to maintain positive guest relations- Keep the beverage station clean, stocked and ready for service throughout the shift- Maintain speedy delivery of all beverages without sacrificing quality or accuracy- Provide exceptional customer service to every guest who steps up to the counter
Schedule and pay:- $21.55 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $30.17 per hour- Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM- Averaging 40 hours per week- Contract-to-hire with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis
What you will need:- Must be 18 years or older- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude- Comfort working an evening shift in a fast-paced environment- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently during busy rushes- Willingness to learn and follow beverage recipes and preparation standards- Composure when handling customer questions or complaints- Dress code: black oxford or polo shirt, black pants and black slip-resistant shoes
A little more about the work. Evenings at a busy beverage counter move in waves, so you will spend part of your shift building drinks back to back and part of it restocking, wiping down surfaces and prepping for the next rush. Accuracy at the register matters as much as the drink itself, and guests remember the barista who remembered their order.
