C1 is hiring a Cook II in Kansas City, MO for one of our client partners. This is a contract role with ongoing and contract-to-hire potential, running from September 8 through September 30, 2026.
Pay is $18.62 per hour, with overtime paid at $26.07 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, for 40 hours per week.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Assist with special events and catered functions- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines for consistent quality- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work station
What we are looking for:- Prior experience cooking in a high-volume kitchen or food service setting- Comfort working on your feet for the length of the shift in a fast-paced kitchen- Attention to detail with recipes, portioning, and plating- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork with kitchen staff
