C1 Staffing is hiring Janitors and Cleaners for shift-based work in Queens, NY. This is gig work that may turn into ongoing assignments, so it is a good fit for anyone who wants to pick up shifts and keep working once they prove reliable.
The role is straightforward cleaning and trash removal in a busy public setting. You will be part of a crew that keeps the site clean, presentable, and safe from the start of the shift until the last bag is pulled.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and loose litter throughout the assigned areas and walkways- Collect recycling and keep it separated from general waste- Empty garbage cans and replace them so bins do not overflow during peak times- Move collected trash and recycling to the designated disposal or collection area- Sweep floors, entryways, and other assigned interior and exterior spaces- Clean restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and surfaces, and keep them stocked and tidy- Do repeat passes through high-traffic areas so conditions stay clean all shift- Follow the direction of the onsite supervisor on where to focus and when to reset an area
Schedule and pay:- Shift-based gig work in Queens, NY, with the possibility of ongoing shifts- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Shift assignments are confirmed with you in advance so you know where and when to report
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to be on your feet, walking and standing, for the full shift- Comfortable bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying trash and recycling bags- Willing to clean restrooms and handle general waste as part of the regular routine- Able to work at a steady pace in a busy environment with people moving around you- Dependable arrival time and the ability to stay through the end of the shift- Ability to follow instructions from a supervisor and work well alongside a crew
