Janitors and Cleaners - Event and Facility Cleaning CrewC1 Staffing is hiring janitors and cleaners for gig and shift-based work in Ocean City, MD. This is flexible, shift-by-shift work that may continue on an ongoing basis for people who show up and do solid work.
This role keeps grounds, buildings, and restrooms clean and presentable throughout the shift. You will work as part of a cleaning crew, moving through assigned areas on a regular loop and responding to messes as they come up. The work is active and hands-on, and it makes an immediate, visible difference to everyone using the space.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and litter from grounds, walkways, seating areas, and common spaces- Collect and sort recycling and place it in the correct containers- Empty garbage cans, replace liners, and haul full bags to the designated disposal area- Sweep floors, walkways, and other assigned areas to keep them clear of debris- Clean and restock restrooms, including wiping surfaces, cleaning fixtures, and clearing trash- Monitor assigned zones throughout the shift and respond quickly to spills and overflowing cans- Keep cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment organized and ready for the next shift- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages to the site supervisor
Schedule and pay:- Gig and shift-based work in Ocean City, MD, with the possibility of ongoing shifts- Shifts are offered as they become available, so you can pick up work that fits your schedule- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the length of the shift- Ability to lift and carry trash bags and move full garbage containers- Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions- Willingness to clean restrooms and handle trash and recycling as a regular part of the job- Attention to detail and the ability to work steadily without close supervision- Dependability and on-time arrival for scheduled shifts
