Food Service Worker - San Antonio, TX
C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker in San Antonio, TX to prepare and serve meals and keep the serving line running smoothly for one of our client partners. This is a daytime, Monday through Friday assignment paying $16.41 per hour, with overtime paid at $22.97 per hour.
This is a contract assignment with ongoing, contract-to-hire potential for dependable people who enjoy fast-paced kitchen and serving line work.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, and serve meals during scheduled service times- Set up serving lines and food stations before service and break them down afterward- Wash dishes and keep the dish area moving during and after meal service- Sanitize surfaces and keep prep and serving areas clean and organized- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food handling standards- Stock supplies and support the kitchen team with general daily tasks- Work alongside cooks and service staff to keep meal times on schedule
Schedule and pay:- $16.41 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $22.97 per hour- Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm- 40 hours per week- Day shift, with the possibility of extension or permanent hire for strong performers
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand for full shifts in a busy kitchen environment- Ability to lift and carry food trays, pans, and supplies- Comfort working at a fast pace during peak meal service- Reliable attendance and a strong team-first attitude- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures as directed- Required: applicants must complete the Harmony fingerprint-based background screening process and receive clearance before being allowed to work on-site- Must be able to complete E-Verify and provide documentation establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States
