C1 is hiring a Cook II in Carthage, TX for one of our clients. This is a contract assignment running from August 25, 2026 through October 19, 2026, with the potential to move into a permanent role for the right candidate. Pay is $15.37 per hour, with overtime paid at $21.52 per hour. Schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items for lunch, dinner, and grill service- Learn both retail and patient menus and support all kitchen positions as needed, including salads, food service, and dishroom- Cover PM shifts and provide relief coverage for vacations as needed- Keep work areas, equipment, and service lines clean and sanitary throughout the shift
What we are looking for:- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen- Strong customer service skills and a team-first attitude- Willingness to cross-train across kitchen roles- Ability to pass a background check- Uniform required: black pants, black shirt, and slip-resistant shoes
