C1 Staffing is hiring a line cook/food runner for a single high-volume catered event in McGregor, TX (76657) serving more than 1,000 guests. The shift pays $21.00 per hour, runs from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, and a family meal is provided on site.
What you will do:- Bridge the gap between the on-site pop-up kitchen and the guest service area, keeping food moving at a steady pace all night.- Deliver fresh fried items from the kitchen to the service area while they are hot and at their best.- Run cold finger foods and appetizers out to guests quickly and efficiently during peak service.- Support the pop-up kitchen line as plates and platters are assembled for a crowd of over 1,000 guests.- Keep runner lanes, trays, and staging areas clean, organized, and free of clutter throughout service.- Communicate with kitchen leads and service staff so that items go out in the right order and nothing sits waiting.- Follow all food safety and handling standards for hot and cold items from kitchen to guest.- Arrive at the Heritage Square parking lot in Waco 15 to 20 minutes early; the shuttle leaves promptly at 4:15 PM, no personal vehicles are allowed on the event premises, and the shuttle returns workers to their cars after a 10:00 PM pickup.

What you will do:- Work in an on-site pop-up kitchen- Fast-paced prep and plating of large quantities of finger foods, fried items, and cold displays- Follow food safety and handling standards
Uniform: White chef jacket, black pants, safety shoes, chef hat/skull cap, butcher's apron. Bring your own sharp knives safely wrapped in a knife roll/case (not a cloth).
Parking & shuttle: Park at the Heritage Square parking lot in Waco and arrive 15-20 minutes early. The shuttle leaves PROMPTLY at 4:15 PM and brings you back to your car after the event (pickup at 10 PM). No personal vehicles are allowed on site.
Requirements: Food Handlers Card, background check (basic & county), valid photo ID for the security screening.int.- Family meal provided.
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older.- Valid Food Handlers Card.- Valid photo ID; all workers go through a full security screening at the event site.- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for the length of the shift while carrying trays and platters in a fast, high-volume environment.- Dress code: ironed white button-up shirt, black tie, full-length black suit pants (not skinny, fitted, or cropped), black leather shoes (no loafers, boots, trainers, or ballet pumps), and black long socks.- Nail varnish and facial piercings must be removed before the shift.- Background check (basic and county) required.- This position is subject to E-Verify employment eligibility verification.
