C1 is hiring a Cook II in Carthage, TX. This is a contract assignment running September 17, 2026 through October 16, 2026, with the potential to go contract-to-hire if you and the client are a good match.
Pay is $15.37 per hour, with overtime paid at $21.52 per hour. You can expect 40 hours per week, generally 8:30am to 5pm, plus every other weekend from 11am to 5pm. Some shifts may run 6am to 2:30pm, so schedule flexibility is important.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and grill service- Learn both retail and patient menus- Cover AM and PM shifts and provide relief coverage for vacations as needed- Step into other kitchen roles when needed, including salads, food service, and dish room- Keep work areas clean and sanitary at all times
What we are looking for:- Cooking experience across multiple meal periods- Strong customer service skills and a team-first attitude- Willingness to complete a background check- Uniform: black top, black pants, and slip-resistant shoes
