Food Service Worker - New Berlin, NY
C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a client location in New Berlin, NY, supporting a busy kitchen and food service operation. The role pays $19.01 per hour with overtime paid at $26.61 per hour, and it is an ongoing, contract-to-hire assignment with a direct path to a permanent role for workers who perform well.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, moving between prep, service, and cleanup areas as needed- Assist with the setup of food service counters and steamtables before each meal period- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables, keeping portions and presentation consistent- Restock and maintain service lines so items stay available throughout the shift- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work stations during and after service- Maintain a safe, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service area- Follow all food safety and handling standards, including proper temperature, storage, and sanitation practices- Pitch in wherever help is needed across the kitchen and service team
Schedule and pay:- $19.01 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $26.61 per hour- 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm shift- 40 hours per week, ongoing assignment- Contract-to-hire, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role based on performance
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and the ability to work the full afternoon and evening shift- Comfort standing and walking for the length of the shift in an active kitchen environment- Ability to lift and move items as part of setup, service, restocking, and cleanup- A team-first attitude and a willingness to help wherever you are needed on the property- Willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures consistently- Prior food service or kitchen experience is helpful but not required
