Barista II — Troy, NY
C1 Staffing is hiring a Barista II to craft hand-made coffee, tea and specialty drinks at a client location in Troy, New York. This is a contract assignment paying $24.44 per hour on a steady daytime schedule, with potential to move into an ongoing or contract-to-hire opportunity for the right person.
This role is a good fit if you enjoy the rhythm of a busy beverage bar and take pride in getting every drink right. You will be the face of the counter, balancing speed with genuine hospitality.
What you will do:- Craft quality coffee, tea and specialty beverages by hand to each customer's specifications- Take customer orders accurately and keep drink delivery fast and consistent- Operate cash registers and credit card machines, handling transactions carefully- Field customer questions and complaints with professionalism, working to maintain good customer relations- Build strong, repeat customer relationships through friendly, attentive service- Keep the beverage station clean, stocked and ready for service throughout the shift- Maintain speedy delivery of all beverages during peak periods without sacrificing quality
Schedule and pay:- $24.44 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $34.22 per hour- Shift is 10:00am to 6:30pm- 40 hours per week- Contract assignment with potential to move into an ongoing or contract-to-hire role
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior barista or high-volume customer service experience preferred- Friendly, calm communication style, especially during busy periods- Ability to work at a quick pace and handle multiple orders at once- Comfort standing for the full shift- Basic comfort handling cash and card transactions- Uniform: black pants, black shirt and slip-resistant shoes
A note on the uniform: please plan to arrive in black pants, a black shirt and slip-resistant shoes on your first day and every shift after. Slip-resistant footwear is required for safety around spills behind the bar.
