C1 Staffing is hiring Catering Service Workers in Orono, Maine, to support catered events, meetings and conference room service for one of our clients. Pay is 22.75 dollars per hour with overtime paid at 31.85 dollars per hour, and this is a full-time, ongoing contract role with potential to convert to hire for the right candidates.
What you will do:
- Organize and set up requested catering services, including food, beverages, serviceware and equipment- Deliver catering orders to specific requested locations or conference rooms on time and in good order- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers throughout each event- Deliver efficient and attentive service that exceeds customer expectations- Transport catering equipment and supplies between the kitchen, storage areas and event spaces- Break down event spaces after service and clean up tables, serving areas and equipment- Adjust quickly to changing event needs, last-minute order changes and shifting setup times- Keep work areas organized and ready for the next scheduled service
Schedule and pay:
- 22.75 dollars per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at 31.85 dollars per hour- Full-time, 40 hours per week- Specific shifts will be discussed with you during the hiring process- Uniform requirements will also be discussed before your start date- Ongoing contract assignment with potential to convert to hire
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and a consistent, dependable work ethic- Strong customer service skills and a courteous, professional approach with guests and staff- Comfort being on your feet and moving for the length of your shift- Ability to lift, carry and transport catering equipment and supplies- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing event needs- Attention to detail when setting up rooms and confirming catering orders are complete
