C1 is hiring a Utility Worker for a client site in New York, NY. This is a full-time contract assignment covering an employee replacement, running from October 5, 2026 through January 15, 2027, with potential to continue on an ongoing or contract-to-hire basis.
Pay is $21.00 per hour, with overtime paid at $28.88 per hour. Schedule is 40 hours per week: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 3:45 PM, and Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Uniform is black pants and black sneakers.
What you will do:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling using proper procedures- Sweep and mop floors to keep the environment safe- Restock service areas and keep the storage room labeled and organized- Assist with inventory counts and receive and store deliveries safely- Prepare espresso drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos, and heat food items following food safety guidelines- Cover the register during service hours as needed
What you bring:- Experience in a coffee shop, cafe, food service, or custodial role preferred- Espresso beverage preparation experience- Cash register or POS familiarity is a plus- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods- Strong attention to detail and a team-first attitude
