C1 Staffing is hiring a Grill Cook for a client kitchen in Inglewood, CA (90301 area). This is a full-time contract assignment paying $25.00 per hour, with overtime paid at $35.00 per hour.
What you will do:
- Prepare, portion, grill, and plate a variety of hot and cold food items to order- Cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, keeping the grill station stocked and ready- Produce food for special events and catered functions as scheduled- Work at an accurate, efficient pace while meeting plate presentation standards- Follow all food safety and sanitation practices, including proper cooking temperatures, holding, and storage- Follow kitchen safety practices when working with grills, hot surfaces, knives, and cleaning chemicals- Keep the grill area, equipment, and work surfaces clean and sanitized throughout the shift- Communicate with the kitchen team to keep tickets moving and service on time
Schedule and pay:
- $25.00 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $35.00 per hour- Shift runs 11:00am to 7:00pm, approximately 40 hours per week- Full-time ongoing contract assignment with contract-to-hire potential- The role is held open until it is permanently filled, and C1 Staffing provides two weeks' notice if the assignment concludes
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Prior grill or line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to stand for the full shift and work in a hot kitchen environment- Comfort working at a fast pace during peak meal periods- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards- Required uniform: cook's shirt and pants with slip-resistant safety shoes
