Warehouse Associate — Gig Work in Secaucus, NJ (07094)
C1 Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Associate for gig work in Secaucus, New Jersey (zip 07094), handling furniture and related products in a busy warehouse environment. This is hands-on work with a clear daily rhythm, and C1 pays weekly.
What you will do:- Load and unload trucks with care to prevent damage and make sure items are placed properly- Pick, stage, and prepare products for delivery or transfer- Clean, repair, wrap, and assemble furniture so it is rental-ready or properly stored- Tag, store, and relocate inventory in the correct warehouse locations- Conduct cycle counts to keep inventory records accurate- Keep the warehouse clean and organized throughout the shift- Follow all safety guidelines, take part in safety meetings, and complete daily warm-ups
Schedule and pay:- Paid weekly- Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to walk and stand for the length of the shift- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds- Comfortable with repetitive handling of furniture and boxed product, including loading and unloading trucks- Attention to detail for tagging, staging, and cycle counting so inventory stays accurate- Willingness to follow safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and complete daily warm-ups- Dress code: plain shirt with jeans or shorts, and steel-toe protective footwear- Dark jeans and steel-toe boots are required on site- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
A little more about the work: this is a physical role where the quality of the handling matters as much as the speed. Furniture that is wrapped, cleaned, and assembled correctly goes straight back out for rental, and furniture that is rushed comes back as damage. The same applies to inventory. When items are tagged and stored in the right spot and cycle counts are done carefully, the picking and staging side of the operation runs smoothly for everyone on the floor. Associates who show up ready to work, keep their area organized, and communicate about damaged or missing product tend to do very well here.
