Food Service Worker - Indianola, IA
C1 Staffing is hiring Food Service Workers in Indianola, Iowa, to help prepare, set up, and serve meals and keep kitchen and serving areas clean. This is an ongoing, career-oriented position paying $14.45 per hour, with pay issued weekly.
What you will do:
- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, moving between prep areas, serving lines, and dish or wash stations as needed- Assist with the setup of food service counters and steamtables before each meal period, making sure pans, utensils, and serving items are in place- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables, keeping portions consistent and serving lines stocked throughout the meal- Restock food, condiments, and service items during service so that counters stay full and presentable- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including serving equipment and steamtables, following food safety practices- Clean and sanitize work stations, counters, and serving areas during and after meal periods- Break down serving lines at the end of service, returning food to proper storage and returning equipment to its designated place- Support the kitchen team with general food preparation tasks and other duties as assigned by the on-site supervisor
Schedule and pay:
- Pay is $14.45 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Ongoing, career position rather than a short-term project- Worksite is located in Indianola, Iowa
What you will need:
- Must be 18 years or older- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification- Ability to stand and walk for the length of the shift and move between different areas of the property where food is prepared and served- Ability to lift, carry, and handle food pans, trays, and serving equipment- Comfort working around hot equipment such as steamtables, and around cleaning and sanitizing chemicals- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures for equipment and work stations- A steady, dependable approach to teamwork, since serving lines depend on everyone being in place at meal times- A clean, professional appearance and a courteous manner with guests coming through the serving line
