Environmental Service Attendant - Merrillville, IN (46410 area)
C1 Staffing is hiring an Environmental Service Attendant to clean and maintain facilities at a client location in Merrillville, Indiana. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role paying $16.37 per hour, with overtime paid at $22.92 per hour and the potential to continue long term for the right person.
What you will do:
- Clean and maintain assigned facilities and locations so they stay orderly and presentable throughout the day- Work in any assigned area on the client premises, which may include commercial, healthcare, school, university, or similar establishments- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety standards during every task and throughout your full shift- Restock supplies in assigned areas so that restrooms, break areas, and work spaces stay stocked and ready for use- Report maintenance issues, spills, and safety concerns promptly to the appropriate on-site contact- Adjust to changing assignments and move between locations on the premises as directed- Take pride in the quality of your work and leave each assigned area in a condition you would be comfortable putting your name on
Schedule and pay:
- $16.37 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $22.92 per hour- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM- 40 hours per week, full time- Contract-to-hire, with the potential to continue long term based on performance
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently across changing assignments- Comfort with standing, walking, bending, and lifting for the full shift- Steel toe boots, which are required and must be worn on site each day- Willingness to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards consistently- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
