Quick Hire: Cook - Grill in Spokane, WA, paying $22.05 per hour with overtime at $30.87 per hour. C1 Staffing is hiring experienced grill cooks for a short-term, fast-paced game day catering assignment supporting events at a university athletic venue.
This is hands-on line work in a high-volume kitchen. You will run the grill station during game day service, turning out hot and cold items that go straight to catering guests, so accuracy, speed, and consistent presentation matter from the first ticket to the last.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for game day catering events- Work the grill station accurately and efficiently throughout high-volume service- Hold to portion control standards so every plate goes out at the correct size and cost- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, cooking temperatures, and storage- Support the catering team with event setup, plating, and food presentation- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after service- Communicate with the kitchen and catering leads to keep hot and cold items moving on time
Schedule and pay:- $22.05 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $30.87 per hour- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shifts, approximately 40 hours per week- Short-term contract assignment with the possibility of additional shift-based work
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking or grill experience in a restaurant, catering, or high-volume kitchen setting- Ability to stand for extended periods in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment- Comfort working the grill under pressure during peak event service- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and portion control practices- Dress code: black pants (no leggings, jeans, or sweatpants) and non-slip shoes
