C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook I in Costa Mesa, CA to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week assignment paying $22.37 per hour, with overtime paid at $31.32 per hour.

What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support production for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service- Assist with special and catered events, adjusting production volume as the event schedule requires- Maintain accuracy and consistency in recipes, portion sizes, and plate presentation- Keep food production moving efficiently during peak service windows- Follow food safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift, including proper handling, holding, and storage- Work alongside the kitchen team to keep stations stocked, clean, and ready for the next service
Schedule and pay:- $22.37 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $31.32 per hour- Full-time, 40 hours per week- Ongoing assignment with contract-to-hire potential
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen setting- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment- Strong attention to detail with portioning, plating, and presentation- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices- Reliable attendance and solid teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly during busy service
