Janitors and Cleaners - Event Cleaning Crew (Austin, TX)
C1 Staffing is hiring janitors and cleaners for shift-based event and facility cleaning work in Austin, TX. The pay is $16.00 per hour, paid weekly, and we have 8 openings on this crew.
This is gig and shift-based work that may be ongoing, so reliable crew members often get offered additional shifts as they come up. The work is hands-on and keeps you moving, with a clear set of duties and a team around you.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and loose litter throughout the assigned areas, including walkways, seating areas, and common spaces- Collect and sort recycling and place it in the correct containers- Empty garbage cans and replace liners as they fill up during the shift- Sweep floors and hard surfaces to keep walkways clear and tidy- Clean restrooms, including fixtures and surfaces, and keep them stocked and presentable- Move filled trash and recycling bags to the designated collection or dumpster area- Respond to spills and problem areas as they are called out by the crew lead- Return carts, bins, brooms, and other cleaning supplies to their proper place at the end of the shift
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig and shift-based work that may be ongoing- 8 workers needed for this crew
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to be on your feet, walking and standing, for the length of the shift- Comfortable bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying trash and recycling bags- Willing to clean restrooms and handle trash and recycling as a regular part of the job- Able to follow directions from a crew lead and work steadily alongside others- Dependable attendance and on-time arrival for scheduled shifts
No prior janitorial experience is required. If you have cleaned venues, offices, schools, or similar spaces before, that experience is welcome, but we will walk you through what the assignment expects.
