Dishroom Lead — Plano, TX (75024 area)
C1 Staffing is hiring a Dishroom Lead for a kitchen and food service operation in Plano, TX, where you will keep the dishroom running clean, safe, and organized. This is shift-based work at $18.44 per hour, paid weekly, with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis for workers who show up and do solid work.
What you will do:
- Provide a clean and safe kitchen area for employees working in and around the dishroom- Wash and clean tableware, including plates, glassware, flatware, and serving pieces- Scrub and sanitize pots, pans, and cooking equipment used throughout the kitchen- Operate the dishmachine and three-compartment sink, keeping water and sanitizer at proper levels- Scrape, sort, and rack soiled ware, then stack and return clean items to their proper storage locations- Keep the dishroom itself clean and organized — wipe down surfaces, clear drains, break down and clean equipment, and remove trash- Set the pace for the dishroom during service, keeping clean ware moving back to the kitchen and serving lines without backup- Communicate with kitchen staff about equipment needs, supply levels, and any safety or sanitation concerns
Schedule and pay:
- Pay is $18.44 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Gig and shift-based work that may become ongoing depending on performance and client need
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Authorized to work in the United States; this employer participates in E-Verify- Comfortable standing and walking for the length of the shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and twisting- Able to lift and carry racks of dishes, pots, and pans and to push loaded carts- Willing to work in a warm, wet, and fast-moving kitchen environment around hot water, steam, and cleaning chemicals- Attention to detail on cleanliness and sanitation standards, since clean ware and clean equipment are the whole job- Dependable attendance and the ability to keep a work area organized without being asked twice- Prior dishroom, kitchen, or commercial cleaning experience is helpful, though we will consider strong candidates who are ready to learn quickly
