C1 Staffing is hiring a General Maintenance Worker in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to keep facilities, equipment, and building systems running smoothly. This is a contract assignment paying $14.57 per hour with overtime at $20.40 per hour, on a steady Monday through Friday daytime schedule, and it carries the potential to become contract-to-hire for the right person.
What you will do:- Fix and maintain machines and mechanical equipment, troubleshooting issues as they come up- Perform general building maintenance and repairs across assigned locations- Paint interior and exterior surfaces and repair flooring- Handle basic plumbing work and minor electrical repairs- Service and support air conditioning and heating (HVAC) systems- Complete full janitorial duties at the assigned locations- Respond during emergencies and support any necessary tasks associated with that emergency
Schedule and pay:- $14.57 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $20.40 per hour- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.- 40 hours per week- Contract assignment with the potential to go contract-to-hire for the right person- Uniforms are provided
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on general maintenance experience across multiple trades, including painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC- Comfort with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, and climbing throughout the shift- Reliable attendance and the flexibility to assist during emergency situations- Willingness to wear the provided uniform and maintain a professional appearance- Ability to pass a background screening- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
