C1 Staffing is hiring a Barista II in Troy, NY, for a contract assignment with one of our clients, with the potential to grow into an ongoing or contract-to-hire opportunity. Pay is $24.44 per hour, with overtime paid at $34.22 per hour, and you are paid weekly.
This is a hands-on café role for someone who enjoys making quality drinks and keeping a line moving without losing the friendly touch that keeps customers coming back. You will work a steady daytime schedule on a full-time basis, handling everything from espresso drinks to the register.
What you will do:- Craft hand-crafted, quality beverages including coffee, tea and specialty drinks, made to each customer's specifications- Take customer orders accurately and deliver friendly, attentive service throughout the shift- Support basic food preparation, including pastries and sandwiches- Operate cash registers and credit card machines, handling transactions accurately- Field customer questions and complaints, working to maintain good customer relations- Keep beverage delivery fast and consistent, even during busy periods- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stocked beverage and food stations
Schedule and pay:- $24.44 per hour, with overtime paid at $34.22 per hour- 10:00am to 6:30pm, 40 hours per week- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior barista or customer-facing food service experience- Comfort working at a steady pace throughout the shift, including standing for extended periods- Dependable attendance and strong communication skills- Ability to handle multiple orders at once and stay accurate under pressure- Uniform required: black pants, black button-up or polo shirt, and non-slip shoes
