Janitors and Cleaners - Event Cleaning Crew (Austin, TX)
C1 Staffing is hiring 8 janitors and cleaners for a live concert event in Austin, Texas. This is shift-based gig work paying $16.00 per hour, with weekly pay.
This role keeps a busy event venue clean and presentable before, during, and after the show. You will work alongside a crew of cleaners, moving through seating areas, concourses, and restrooms to keep trash under control and surfaces clear. It is active, on-your-feet work in a fast-paced environment where the crowd moves quickly and the space needs to be reset just as fast.
What you will do:- Pick up trash throughout the venue, including seating areas, aisles, concourses, and outdoor walkways- Collect and separate recycling, placing items in the correct bins- Sweep floors, entryways, and high-traffic areas to keep walkways clear- Clean restrooms and check them throughout the event to keep them in good condition- Empty garbage cans and replace liners as they fill up during the event- Move collected trash and recycling to designated collection points- Complete a final sweep and clean-up pass after the event ends- Follow direction from the on-site supervisor and work as part of a cleaning crew
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig / shift-based work that may be ongoing, with the chance for additional event shifts- 8 workers needed for this assignment
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to be on your feet, walking, standing, bending, and reaching for the length of the shift- Comfortable handling trash and recycling and cleaning restrooms- Able to work at a steady pace in a crowded, loud event environment- Willingness to follow instructions and stay with your crew through the full shift- Dependable arrival time, since event cleaning work starts on a fixed schedule
No prior janitorial experience is required. If you have worked events, venues, stadiums, or general cleaning before, that experience is welcome, but we will show you what to do on site. What matters most is showing up on time, working steadily, and finishing the job with the crew.
