C1 Staffing is hiring experienced Senior Cooks for a client location in Los Angeles, CA 90045, preparing hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. Pay is $25.66 per hour with overtime paid at $35.92 per hour, and this is a contract-to-hire role with the potential to continue long term.
What you will do:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Cook for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service- Support special and catered events alongside daily meal service- Work to volume and timing standards so food goes out hot, correct, and on schedule- Maintain consistent presentation quality on every plate and every tray- Follow food safety and sanitation practices throughout each shift, from prep through service- Keep your station organized and stocked during high-volume periods- Wear the required uniform of chef whites and protective shoes or clogs
Schedule and pay:
- $25.66 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $35.92 per hour- Roughly 40 hours per week- Varied schedule, so flexibility across different shifts is important- Contract-to-hire position with the potential to continue long term
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Solid hands-on cooking experience across multiple meal periods- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment- Availability for varying shifts, including possible overtime- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle typical kitchen physical demands, including lifting, bending, and reaching- Chef whites and protective shoes or clogs for every shift- Attention to detail on portioning, plating, and food safety
This is a strong fit for a cook who already knows how to move through a busy service without losing accuracy. You will be cooking real volume across several meal periods, and the catered and special events add variety to the week. If you take pride in clean stations, correct portions, and food that looks as good as it tastes, this assignment will give you plenty of room to show it.
