C1 Staffing is hiring a Grill Cook for a client location in Presque Isle, ME (zip code area 04769), working 40 hours per week on a contract assignment with contract-to-hire potential for the right cook. Pay is $18.32 per hour with overtime at $25.65 per hour, and you are paid weekly.
This is hands-on grill work in a busy production kitchen serving multiple meal periods each day. If you know how to hold a line, keep portions tight, and send out plates that look as good as they taste, this assignment is a strong fit.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items with accuracy and consistency- Cook for multiple meal periods throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Support special events and catered functions as needed- Hold the line on speed, portion control, and presentation standards throughout each shift- Work the grill station efficiently during peak service volume- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked so it is ready for the next service- Follow food safety and food handling standards at every step, from prep through plating

What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on grill and line cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to accurately portion, cook, and plate hot and cold items under time pressure- Comfort standing and working on your feet for a full shift in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment- Attention to food quality, consistency, and food safety- Reliability and a willingness to show up ready for service every scheduled shift- Uniform requirements will be discussed with you before your start date
