C1 Staffing is hiring Patient Escorts to safely move patients throughout a healthcare facility in Lakewood, Colorado. The role pays $19.87 per hour with overtime at $27.82 per hour, and it is a contract position with ongoing and contract-to-hire potential.
What you will do:- Escort and transport patients safely throughout the facility using wheelchairs, gurneys, and beds- Assist patients into and out of wheelchairs, gurneys, and beds with attention to comfort and safety during every movement- Transport deceased individuals with care, dignity, and discretion, following facility protocol at all times- Communicate with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate timely and accurate transports between units and departments- Confirm patient identification and destination details before each transport so patients arrive where they are expected- Keep transport equipment clean, in working order, and staged where staff can find it- Represent the facility professionally with patients, families, and visitors who may be anxious or in distress- Follow infection control, privacy, and safety procedures throughout your shift
Schedule and pay:- $19.87 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $27.82 per hour- 40 hours per week- Shifts are available to cover gaps at 7:00am to 3:30pm, 6:00am to 2:30pm, and 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with more details to come- Contract assignment with ongoing and contract-to-hire potential
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Comfort working in a hospital, senior living, or other medical environment- Ability to stand, walk, push, and lift throughout a full shift- Ability to safely maneuver wheelchairs, gurneys, and occupied beds- Dependability, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to patients and families- Clear communication skills for coordinating with nursing and clinical staff- Willingness to complete required background and health screenings
