C1 Staffing is hiring Cashier - Food Service Workers in Prairie View, TX, handling register transactions and supporting a busy foodservice and retail operation. The role pays $15.18 per hour, with overtime paid at $21.25 per hour, and you are paid weekly.
This is a contract assignment with the potential to become contract-to-hire for the right candidates, so strong performers have a real path forward.
What you will do:
- Handle cash and credit card transactions for foodservice customers throughout your shift- Operate a cash register or POS system accurately and complete each transaction correctly- Assist with the setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables- Clean and sanitize equipment and work stations during and after service- Support the retail side of the operation, including setup and maintaining supply and product levels- Help with cleanup and closedown at the end of service- Work directly with customers at the point of sale and keep the line moving at a steady pace
Schedule and pay:
- Pay is $15.18 per hour- Overtime is paid at $21.25 per hour- Shift runs 2p-10p- Approximately 37.5 hours per week- Paid weekly
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Comfort handling money, including cash and credit card payments, and working directly with customers- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system accurately- Attention to detail with a focus on food safety and cleanliness- Ability to stand for the length of the shift and work at a steady pace- Willingness to clean and sanitize equipment and work stations as part of the daily routine- Reliable attendance for the full assignment
This position suits someone who is comfortable moving between the register and the serving line. One moment you may be ringing up a customer, and the next you may be restocking a retail display, refilling a steamtable pan, or wiping down a counter between rushes. Accuracy at the register matters, and so does keeping the service area clean and well stocked so customers move through quickly.
