This is a hands-on role at the heart of a busy kitchen. You will keep dishes, pans, utensils, and equipment moving so cooks and servers never run short during service, and you will help keep the back of house clean, safe, and organized from the first prep push through final cleanup.
What you will do:- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchenware throughout the shift.- Keep a steady supply of clean items available for cooks and servers so service never slows down.- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment according to established procedures.- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, including work stations and the dish area.- Work efficiently during high-volume periods to support the overall flow of kitchen operations.- Follow all sanitation and safety protocols to uphold the highest standards.- Communicate with cooks, servers, and kitchen leadership about supply needs and any equipment issues.- Assist with general cleanup tasks at the close of service as directed by kitchen leadership.
Schedule and pay:- Pay rate: 19.00 dollars per hour.- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing.- Gig and shift-based work, with the potential for ongoing shifts.
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older.- Ability to stand and move for the length of the shift in a fast-paced kitchen setting.- Comfort working around hot water, cleaning chemicals, steam, and kitchen equipment.- Ability to handle high volumes of work without losing pace or accuracy.- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to cleanliness.- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.- Previous experience in a dishwashing or similar kitchen role is a plus but not required.- Reliability and the willingness to show up on time and finish the shift strong.
