C1 is hiring a Senior Utility Worker for a short-term contract assignment with one of our clients in New York, NY.
This is a hands-on kitchen support role for an experienced worker who can keep the back of house running smoothly and guide others while doing it.
Pay and schedule:- $19.39 per hour, with overtime paid at $27.15 per hour- Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM- 40 hours per week- Contract assignment running September 21, 2026 through September 25, 2026
What you will do:- Maintain kitchen work areas, keeping them clean, organized and ready for service- Wash, sanitize and properly store utensils, smallwares and kitchen equipment- Clean and care for equipment according to established standards- Act as the senior team member on shift, providing direction and guidance to lower-level utility staff- Support the kitchen team with general tasks as needed throughout the shift
What we are looking for:- Prior experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen- Comfort standing, walking, lifting and working in a fast-paced environment for the full shift- Reliability, strong attention to cleanliness and the ability to lead by example
