C1 Staffing is hiring nonrestaurant food servers for shift-based work in Dallas, Texas, serving guests in a high-volume, event-style food service setting. This is gig work that may become ongoing, so reliable servers can pick up additional shifts as they are released.
What you will do:
- Serve prepared food and beverages to guests from buffet lines, hospitality areas, and service counters rather than from a traditional table-service restaurant menu- Set up service stations before guests arrive, including arranging chafing dishes, serving utensils, plates, cups, napkins, and condiments- Portion and plate items consistently so every guest receives the same presentation and serving size- Monitor food levels throughout service and restock or replace pans, trays, and beverage containers before they run out- Keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold by checking holding equipment and reporting any temperature or equipment issues to a supervisor right away- Answer basic guest questions about what is being served, including common allergen ingredients, and direct more detailed questions to kitchen staff- Clear used plates, cups, and trash from service areas and wipe down counters, tables, and stations between waves of guests- Break down stations at the end of service, return equipment to the kitchen, and assist with dish handling and trash removal
Schedule and pay:
- Gig and shift-based work, with the possibility of ongoing shifts for servers who perform well- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Shift assignments are offered as they become available, so flexibility with day, evening, and weekend hours is helpful
What you will need:
- Must be 18 years of age or older- Ability to stand and walk for the length of the shift, including on hard floors- Ability to bend, reach, and lift and carry trays, food pans, and cases of beverages- Comfort working quickly in a warm, crowded, noisy environment with steady guest traffic- A clean, professional appearance and a courteous, service-first attitude with guests- Willingness to follow food handling, sanitation, and safety instructions from on-site supervisors- Ability to arrive on time and check in for each scheduled shift
