Lead Worker - Facilities — Grand Forks, ND
C1 Staffing is hiring a Lead Worker - Facilities in Grand Forks, ND, to coordinate the routine schedules of maintenance technicians across one or more craft specialties while performing hands-on work in the skilled trades. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $17.10 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.94 per hour and real potential to continue long term.
What you will do:
- Coordinate the routine work schedules of maintenance technicians across one or more craft specialties- Perform hands-on work in one or more of the skilled trades, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry or general building maintenance- Keep daily assignments organized so facility maintenance stays on track and nothing falls through the cracks- Serve as the point of contact for technicians during your shift, answering questions and redirecting work as priorities change- Lead and direct the work of others while staying productive on your own assigned tasks- Support holiday and weekend coverage so the facility stays maintained around the clock
Schedule and pay:
- $17.10 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.94 per hour- Full time, 40 hours per week- Varied shifts, with every other weekend required- Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis- Assignment window runs through March 31, 2027, with the potential to continue long term- Contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our client partners- Paid weekly
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Experience in a skilled trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry or general building maintenance- Comfort leading and directing the work of others, including setting daily assignments and keeping a crew on schedule- Reliability and flexibility to cover varied shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays- Ability to perform physical, hands-on maintenance work throughout a full shift, including standing, walking, bending, lifting and working with tools- Organized communication skills, since technicians will come to you with questions during the shift
