C1 is hiring Cook I professionals for a contract assignment with one of our clients in Kansas City, MO. This is a great opportunity for kitchen professionals who take pride in consistent, high-quality food preparation. Multiple openings are available, with four positions to fill.
Pay is $17.16 per hour, with overtime paid at $24.02 per hour. The schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm at 40 hours per week, with the assignment running from September 3, 2026 through September 25, 2026. This role is offered as an ongoing contract with potential to convert to a permanent hire.
What you will do:- Prep, prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods with accuracy and efficiency- Assist with special events and catered functions as needed- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift
What we are looking for:- Prior cooking or food production experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to work efficiently on your feet for the full shift- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
