C1 Staffing is hiring Cook I professionals for an ongoing contract assignment in Kansas City, MO, preparing and presenting hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods. The role pays $17.16 per hour with overtime at $24.02 per hour, on a consistent daytime schedule of 7:00am to 3:30pm.

What you will do:- Prep, prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods, working accurately and efficiently through each service- Assist with special events and catered functions as needed- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently so every plate meets the same standard- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift- Work at the pace required by a high-volume kitchen while keeping attention to detail on quality and portioning
Schedule and pay:- $17.16 per hour, with overtime paid at $24.02 per hour- 7:00am to 3:30pm- 40 hours per week- Ongoing contract assignment with potential to convert to a permanent hire- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking or food production experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to work efficiently on your feet for the full shift- Comfort preparing and portioning both hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines exactly as written- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
