C1 is hiring a Cook II in Madison, WI, for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our client partners. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week assignment running from September 24, 2026 through December 24, 2026, with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
Pay is $19.22 per hour, with overtime paid at $26.91 per hour.
Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, plus special and catered events- Work accurately and efficiently to meet volume and timing expectations- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards
What you need:- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen setting- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen- Dependable attendance for an early morning start time
Uniform requirements:- Slip-resistant shoes- Black pants (no yoga pants or sweatpant styles)- Work shirt provided on site
