C1 Staffing is hiring Package Handlers for a busy parcel facility in Romulus, Michigan (zip 48174), where you will unload trailers, sort packages, and load delivery trucks. The pay is $17.00 per hour, paid weekly, and we have 9 openings to fill.
This is shift-based work that may continue on an ongoing basis for handlers who show up consistently and keep pace with the flow of freight. It is a hands-on, fast-moving warehouse role, so if you would rather stay busy than sit still, this assignment fits.
What you will do:- Unload packages and parcels from inbound trailers and move them onto the sort area- Sort packages by zip code so each item is routed to the correct delivery area- Load sorted packages onto delivery trucks in an organized, secure way- Lift, carry, and stack parcels weighing up to 50 pounds throughout your shift- Scan and handle packages carefully to avoid damage to contents and labels- Keep aisles, dock areas, and work zones clear and free of debris- Work at a steady pace alongside the rest of the dock and sort crew to meet departure times- Follow all facility safety rules while working around trailers, trucks, and moving equipment
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $17.00 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Gig and shift-based work that may be ongoing- 9 workers needed for this assignment
What you will need:- Must be 18 years of age or older- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move packages for the length of your shift- Closed-toed shoes are required to work on the dock and sort floor- Comfort working in a warehouse and trailer environment where temperatures change with the weather- Willingness to work at the pace required to get trucks loaded and out on time- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
No prior warehouse experience is required. If you have handled packages, worked a dock, or done any physical labor job, that background will help you get up to speed quickly, but we will show you the sort process and the safe way to handle freight.
