C1 Staffing is hiring Utility Workers in Prairie View, TX (77446) to keep kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils clean, sanitized and ready for service. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $17.92 per hour, with assignments beginning August 14, 2026.
What you will do:- Maintain clean and orderly kitchen work areas throughout the entire shift- Wash, sanitize and properly store utensils, smallwares and food service equipment- Return clean equipment and utensils to their designated storage locations so the kitchen team can work without delays- Support the kitchen team with general upkeep, cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned- Keep floors, counters and work surfaces free of spills and debris during busy service periods- Follow all food safety standards, including correct handling of cleaning chemicals and sanitizing procedures- Follow all workplace safety standards and report equipment issues or hazards promptly
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $17.92 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime is paid at $25.09 per hour- Shift runs 10:30 am to 8:15 pm- Averages 37.5 hours per week- Assignment begins August 14, 2026, with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis for the right people- Contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients
What you will need:- Must be 18 years of age or older- Comfort standing, walking and lifting for the length of the shift- Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment and keep pace during service- Reliable attendance for the full assignment window- Dress code: black slacks, black sleeved shirt and safety shoes- No jewelry, no false lashes and no artificial nails while on shift- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures as directed- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
