C1 Staffing is hiring a Lead Worker - Facilities in Grand Forks, ND (58201 area) to coordinate the routine schedules of maintenance technicians while performing hands-on work in the skilled trades. This is a full-time contract assignment paying $17.10 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.94 per hour and the potential to move toward a long-term or contract-to-hire opportunity for the right person.
What you will do:
- Coordinate the routine work schedules of maintenance technicians involved in one or more craft specialties- Perform hands-on work yourself in one or more of the skilled trades- Keep daily maintenance priorities organized so jobs are completed on time- Provide guidance and direction to technicians throughout the shift- Balance workload across crafts so the right technician is matched to the right job- Track job progress and keep the crew on task from start of shift to end of shift- Communicate scheduling changes and job status clearly to the crew and to site leadership
Schedule and pay:
- $17.10 per hour straight time- Overtime paid at $23.94 per hour- 40 hours per week, full-time- Paid weekly- Full-time contract assignment with potential to move toward a long-term or contract-to-hire opportunity
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Working knowledge of at least one skilled trade; experience across multiple crafts is preferred- Prior experience leading or coordinating a maintenance crew- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing maintenance priorities- Strong communication skills for giving clear direction to technicians- Reliable attendance and the ability to keep a team on task for a full shift- Comfort performing hands-on skilled trades work in addition to lead responsibilities
