Janitors and Cleaners - Live Concert Event Cleaning (Austin, TX)
C1 Staffing is hiring 9 janitors and cleaners to keep a live concert event in Austin, TX clean and presentable for guests. This is shift-based event work paying $16.00 per hour, with the potential for additional assignments if you do well.
This is hands-on cleaning work in a busy event environment. You will move through the venue grounds during the event, staying ahead of trash buildup so that walkways, seating areas, and restrooms stay in good shape from doors open through the final cleanup pass.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and litter throughout the event grounds, including walkways, seating areas, and gathering spots- Collect and sort recycling and place it in the correct containers- Empty garbage cans and replace liners, then move full bags to the designated disposal area- Sweep floors, entryways, and high-traffic areas to keep them clear of debris- Clean and service restrooms during the event, including wiping surfaces and restocking as needed- Monitor restroom and trash areas throughout your shift and address spills or messes promptly- Perform a final walkthrough and cleanup pass in your assigned area at the end of the event- Follow directions from the on-site supervisor and report any maintenance or safety concerns
Schedule and pay:- Pay rate is $16.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig / shift-based work that may be ongoing, with the chance to be offered future assignments- 9 workers are needed for this assignment
What you will need:- Must be 18 years or older- Ability to be on your feet and walking for the length of the shift- Comfortable bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying trash and recycling bags- Willingness to work outdoors and indoors in a crowded, high-energy event setting- Comfortable cleaning restrooms and handling trash and recycling materials- A reliable, punctual approach and the ability to work as part of a cleaning crew- Ability to follow instructions from an on-site supervisor and work with limited direct oversight once assigned an area
