Janitors and Cleaners - 2026 Diplo Run NYC1 Staffing is hiring janitors and cleaners in Oakland, CA for shift-based work that may continue on an ongoing basis. The pay is $18.40 per hour, paid weekly, and we are filling 11 openings for this assignment.
This is hands-on cleaning and site upkeep work. You will keep public areas, walkways, and restrooms clean and presentable from the start of your shift to the end, working alongside a crew of other C1 associates.
What you will do:- Pick up trash and loose litter throughout the assigned areas and keep walkways clear- Collect and separate recycling from general trash- Sweep floors, walkways, and other hard surfaces- Clean restrooms and keep them stocked, tidy, and presentable during the shift- Empty garbage cans before they overflow and move collected trash to the designated drop points- Make repeat passes through your assigned zone so areas stay clean throughout the shift, not just at the end- Report spills, overflowing containers, or supply shortages to your onsite supervisor- Follow all safety instructions and site rules while working around the public and other crew members
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $18.40 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig and shift-based work that may be ongoing, so strong performers can be considered for additional shifts- 11 workers are needed for this assignment
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously for the full length of the shift- Able to lift and carry trash and recycling bags and push or pull rolling bins- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions- Willing to clean restrooms as a regular part of the role- Able to follow instructions from an onsite supervisor and work as part of a crew- Dependable attendance and on-time arrival for the shift you accept- Prior janitorial, housekeeping, event cleanup, or custodial experience is helpful but not required
