C1 is hiring a Cook II in Detroit, MI for a contract assignment with one of our clients. This is an ongoing, contract-to-hire opportunity running from September 17 through September 25, 2026, with the potential for long-term placement.
Pay is $25.08 per hour, with overtime paid at $35.11 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, for 40 hours per week.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods- Cook and plate items for special and catered events- Work efficiently and accurately to meet meal service timelines- Maintain food quality, presentation standards, and a clean, safe work area
What we are looking for:- Prior experience cooking in a high-volume kitchen- Comfort working with standardized recipes and portion control- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle typical kitchen physical demands- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment
